Spray cans (also known as aerosol cans) in non-household / commercial quantities must be disposed of or recycled by a certified company such as seiba Entsorgungstechnik GmbH.

The recycling of aerosol cans

The propellants used in the spray cans / aerosol cans are easily flammable. During the recycling process the fragments of the cans in combination with the pressure filling form a highly explosive mixture (Während des Recyclingprozesses bilden die Bruchstücke der Dosen in Kombination mit der Druckfüllung ein hochexplosives Gemisch).
